Our high flow cotton gauze air filter is washable, reusable and built to last for the life of an automotive or motorcycle engine. K&N air filters consist of four to six sheets of cotton gauze layered between two sheets of aluminum wire mesh. This media is then pleated and oiled to enhance its filtering capabilities and overall performance. K&N Air Filters were created for an environment requiring maximum horsepower and enhanced acceleration in addition to protection from the dirt and dust of off-road racing. The result is an air filter that allows dramatically more air into an engine, is washable and reusable, and will protect your vehicle.

Solid product from a solid company.
The filter installed with no problems, and was a solid fit. While I do not feel you receive huge gains from just the air filter, especially considering how well the stock filter flows, I do believe the K&N filter flows better. It is a great reusable, cleanable filter that will pay for itself overtime if you maintain it. As well as having great airflow. Can't beat the price either when considering any of the other after market drop in filters for the 335i. Some more technical reviews posted on e90post.com as well.
