Your filter should be checked regularly, about ever oil change. I had not change my filter for about 6 months and pulled our 3 handfulls of leaves. Depending on you driving conditions, you may need to Replace the filter more often. A dirty filter can restricts the air to the engine and can hinder fuel economy and performance. If you decide to change the filter yourself, Make sure the engine is off. Never start or run the engine while replacing the air filter.
